Patterson River - Runaway Bay tidal gates to be replaced
In a Notice to Mariners issued at Melbourne 06 April 2011 Mariners are advised of works by Melbourne Water Corporation to replace the existing tidal gates at Runaway Bay Marina (VIC) at approximate location 38° 4.151’ S, 145° 8.167’ E (WGS84) from Monday 9 May 2011 to Tuesday 20 Sept 2011
No through navigation of the channel accessing Runaway Bay will be possible during these works. A Section 15 Exclusion Zone will apply to all vessels for this area.
Mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating within the vicinity of the works. Floating plant and hazards associated with the construction works will be marked with yellow flashing lights from sunset to sunrise.
Buoyage will also be deployed to ensure vessels stay clear of works.
