Mercury Marine says OptiMax has once more been recognised for delivering the highest customer satisfaction in direct-injected (DI) outboard engines
For the third consecutive year, OptiMax has finished atop the prestigious annual customer satisfaction survey conducted by J.D. Power and Associates, a global marketing information organisation that funds all of its own syndicated research in order to deliver unbiased results, said Mercury Marine, which added, that it is the only marine engine manufacturer to receive this award three years in a row.
Mercury president, Patrick C. Mackey, and Mercury outboard president, Mark Schwabero, were on hand to collect the award at the Miami Int. Boat Show.
"Three successive years of recognition for our outboard business reveals why Mercury Marine is number one on the water," said Mackey.
"We're driven by our customers' confidence in our product, and we're committed to maintaining our promise to deliver the quality and reliability they've come to expect from the Mercury brand," he said.
Mercury Marine said the 2008 study found that OptiMax ranked highest for overall satisfaction among two-stroke engine owners and, on average, OptiMax engine owners also reported fewer problems per 100 boats than the competition. In terms of fuel economy, owners gave the OptiMax top marks, said the outboard maker.
