Maintaining your inflatable PFD
Inflatable PFDs (life jackets) are a specialised piece of safety equipment and require a specific maintenance regime to keep them in tip top condition.
Servicing requirements will differ depending on your manufacturer’s specifications.
The service patch on the inside flap of the jacket will indicate the servicing expiry date. You should familiarise yourself with the requirements for your particular brand of jacket and contact your manufacturer.
