Dredging Warning @ Sandringham  

The following Notice to Mariners was published for general information.

14th August to approximately 30 October 2008

Mariners are advised of maintenance dredging at Sandringham harbour and entrance, located approximately 37°56.497’S, 144°59.537’E (WGS84).

Dredging works will be carried out during daylight hours, where hazards to boating, including floating plant and equipment will be marked.

The sea disposal barge will be located within a 100 metre radius of 37°56.881’S, 144°59.343’E.  The disposal barge and buoys marking the anchors will be marked with special mark buoys with characteristic FI Y.  The pipeline will be marked with white 300mm floats.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of the dredge, pipeline and offshore barge.
