Section 1 – Accidental Loss or Damage to Your Boat

Cover for accidental loss, damage, fire or theft to your boat, including; Hull, Motor(s), Masts, Spars, Rigging and Sails, Trailer, Equipment and Accessories, Boat Tender and Personal Effects when used in or on your boat. 

• Cover whilst your boat is in transit on the Trailer by road, rail or ship in Australia
• Choice of Market Value or Agreed Value
• Cover within Geographic Limits up to 250 nm off the mainland of Australia and New Zealand
• Increased limit for Fishing Gear, Water Ski Equipment, Diving Equipment and Tools up to $500 for each item and $5,000 in total
• Increased limit for Personal Effects, including personal items belonging to you or your immediate family covering clothing, shoes, waterproof gear, prescription sunglasses and manchester up to $500 for each item and $5,000 in total
• Nil excess payable when your boat is penned at its usual berth at a named marina or private jetty / pontoon.
•Lay up extended to cover, going to, whilst at, and returning from a boat dealer for servicing and maintenance or during a claim
• Emergency land transit towing costs increased to $1,000 in total
• Cover for your Boat if involved with volunteer marine rescue
• Latent Defect covered
• Salvage charges / wreck removal costs covered over and above the sum insured
• If you replace your boat, temporary cover is automatically provided for a replacement boat up to 14 days
• Cover for Social Yacht Racing increased to 25 nm
• Cover provided for Time Trials to a maximum speed of 30 knots 

Section 2 – Liability to other people 

• Cover for the named insured and any person in charge or control of your boat for death or bodily injury and / or damage to property caused by your boat
• Cover for you, for death or bodily injury and /or damage to property caused by you arising from the use of another boat
• The discharge, release or escape of fuel, lubricants or sewage from holding tanks increased to $500,000
• Cover, when selected, for you and any person using your boat and / or any person engaged in water-skiing or aquaplaning activities with your boat
• Marina liability cover
• Cover for all legal costs and expenses incurred in defending any court proceedings which may arise in respect of any liability 

Section 3 – Bodily Injury to the Named Insured 

• Up to $20,000 cover to the named insured from an accident occurring when using your boat, for death, permanent and total loss of sight of an eye or permanent and total loss of the use of a limb
• Funeral Expenses up to $5,000

Remember: With damaged items such as Boat Covers and/or Clears. Typically, a small depreciation deduction may apply depending on the age of the item in question, particularly for vessels moored or berthed outside at a marina which is unprotected from the elements. Step by Step Process

• Call Club Marine to register your claim, confirm excess payable and discuss damage
• Customer to complete the form in full,  include digital photo's of damage - submit to St Kilda Boat Sales
• St Kilda Boat Sales access damage and prepare a repair quote
• Customer pays excess
• St Kilda Boat Sales begin the repair works - ASAP
• Liaise with Club Marine and customer towards repair completion
